Helen Noblet Award

The Helen Noblet Award recognises individuals, groups or whole organisations that have made significant contribution to child injury prevention in South Australia through; advocacy, programs, research, or the influence of policy, in particular through work they have completed on behalf of or in conjunction with Kidsafe SA.

The criteria on which the Award is judged includes:

  • Demonstrated commitment to child injury prevention and the aims and values of Kidsafe South Australia
  • Strength of community leadership and involvement in child injury prevention
  • Contribution to education, promotion, technology, public policy or research in the area of child injury prevention.

The Award is named in honour of Helen Noblet, former Kidsafe SA CEO, who passed away on the 6th January 2014. Helen was known widely as ‘Mrs Kidsafe’ and was dedicated to preventing unintentional death and serious injury to South Australian children for over 23 years. Helen was highly regarded and respected by her peers throughout Australia, and her contribution to child safety and injury prevention over this time was immeasurable.

The 2019 Helen Noblet award was celebrated in conjunction with Kidsafe’s 40th Birthday celebrations.
