Kidsafe SA and Paradise Motors Mazda invites you to attend our Kids in Cars Workshop! This workshop is a handy information session where you will learn how to install, set up and adjust your child seat correctly.
At the end of this session you will:
- Understand why correct harnessing is an important factor in the performance of a child seat
- Understand when and how to adjust a harness
- Understand that size, not age is what makes a restraint suitable for a child
- Learn to loosen harnesses before removing a child from a car seat every time they travel
- Understand how to tighten a seat belt around a restraint without much physical effort
- Understand what is ISOFIX?
- Know what makes up a safe child seat installation for rear facing products, forward facing products and booster seats
- Understanding why driveway runovers occur
- Understand why you should never leave children unattended in a car

My husband John and I are applying to become foster carers with Lutheran Community Care in 2019. I finish working for LCC in the Intensive Family Support Program at Ntaria (Hermannsburg) (west of Alice Springs) on 4th February 2020. However I will be in Adelaide in December 2019, so John and I will be able to attend the workshop (if there is a space for us).
