Pepi Pod and Child Car Restraint Workshop

Kidsafe SA recently conducted a vital training workshop for Aboriginal Maternal workers from the Women’s and Children’s Hospital and Lyell McEwin Hospital. The session focused on educating participants about the safe use of Pepi Pods—special infant sleep pods designed to promote safe sleeping environments for babies—as well as the correct installation of child car restraints.

The initiative aims to equip Aboriginal Maternal workers with essential knowledge to support First Nations communities in reducing the risks to babies and improving child passenger safety. By sharing this expertise, these workers will help inform and empower families to create safer sleep environments and ensure babies are properly restrained when traveling.

Through this program, Kidsafe SA continues its mission to promote child safety and strengthen community-led education, ensuring vital resources like Pepi Pods and car restraints reach families who need them most.
