Alison Gurr

Board Member & National Representative

Alison brings over 25 years of retail and community pharmacy industry experience, coupled with exposure to health insurance and wider healthcare markets, beginning her career at F H Faulding in South Australia.

Through this respected organisation, Alison gained valuable experience across distribution and supply, sales and marketing, systems development and human resources functions, in both local and national roles.

Her senior management and influencer roles at National Pharmacies has also enabled her to develop strengths in negotiation, strategic planning marketing, promotional and merchandise assortment planning and execution.

Developing and commercialising new retail and health oriented business initiatives for the organisation in both physical stores and in the digital space helped to transport these skills to the health insurance industry where she currently works with Health Partners to commercialise health oriented solutions for members and the fund.

Alison enjoys working in not for profit, member based organisations where she can build businesses, teams and individuals, creating value for all stakeholders. These passions and business acumen are taken wider by becoming involved and supporting communities in areas of local sporting groups, schools and other local initiatives.

Alison joined the Kidsafe board in April 2016 to support child centred, local organisations that have a real and positive outcome on children and families’ health and wellbeing.
